349 East, September 25th, 2001.
Many things changed since September 11th. Almost 4,000 people died in New York that day, changing the lives of many families, for generations to come. And the lives of many people continue to change, now in Afghanistan as civilian (and military) casualties from the war mount.
In many places though, things have not changed much. This includes the more than 15 countries in which civil wars were taking place long before September 11th, and the many other countries in which terrorist attacks have occurred for years and are common regularly.
