I am fascinated by the different cultural norms we follow, as well as by the culture-independent human elements that tie us together. My work externalizes an internal questioning of the interrelationship between location and culture, and between co-located and disparate cultural elements. Personal experience is a central component in the creation of my work, thus I am interested in the trialogue between my subjects (or environment), the viewers of the work, who I call participants, and me. While photographing or filming, I often share my camera with my subjects or join them in their actions. This interaction often leads to interesting experiences such as riding a bull in a rodeo or driving a bicycle taxi. I aim at conveying my experiences and internal questioning to you.
